Terms & Conditions: The Terms & Conditions of Surgical Attractions You can rest assured that Surgical Attractions takes special care to ensure all your private details are received and treated in the strictest confidence and as such will not be seen by, or distributed to, any third parties. COST ESTIMATES: Cost estimates quoted in SA Rand, ZAR (Nett) (and easily converted into your particular currency) will be produced by Surgical Attractions for every facet of your stay with us - including surgery, recuperation, companion care and rejuvenation holiday (if you choose to have one) as well as your air flights (should you require and accept quotes from Surgical Attractions for airline tickets). Prices are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Certain terms and Conditions apply. CONFIRMED BOOKINGS: All bookings confirmed and not utilised are subject to cancellation fees. ON ARRIVAL: You will arrive at one of South Africa’s International Airports and be met by a representative/companion carer from Surgical Attractions. Our representatives/companion carers are chosen for their caring and understanding natures so you will be in good hands. YOUR ACCOMMODATION (RECUPERATION PHASE): Your Surgical Attractions companion carer will then transport you to your chosen accommodation. You will have decided in advance whether you wish to have your face to face consultation with the surgeon on your day of arrival or the following day. You will be driven to your face to face consultation with your surgeon by your companion carer. Once you have met with your surgeon and finalised details for your forthcoming procedure(s), scheduled for the following day, you will be driven back to your hotel where you can relax in preparation for your surgery. The following morning you will be transported to the hospital for your procedure. Once your companion carer has helped you fill in your admission forms you will be settled into your room. Most procedures require the patient to remain at the hospital/clinic overnight (some procedures may require a longer stay). Your companion carer will drive you back to your accommodations on the day of your discharge, where you will recuperate under caring conditions. During your recuperation Surgical Attractions will make frequent enquiries about your condition and your companion carer will also transport you to and from post-operative appointments with your surgeon. Your accommodation for your recuperation includes: The accommodation itself Meals (As stipulated) Your accommodation for your recuperation excludes: Any extra expenses not specified Meals (not stipulated) Pre and post operative beauty treatments Transport for all additional outings/sightseeing Overnight Safaris and Day Tours COMPANION/CARE: Includes: A representative of Surgical Attractions who you can call on if you are experiencing any discomfort, who will meet you at Johannesburg or Cape Town International Airport (whichever applies in your case), transfer you to your accommodation, and accompany you to all your medical consultations / appointments to the clinic for your procedure and to your accommodation after your procedure – and return you to the airport on your departure. All transport costs to/from the airport, your medical consultations and clinic. Excludes: Transport to and from venues not associated with your surgery. YOUR REJUVENATION HOLIDAY: (Should you choose to have one) Includes: Your accommodation Meals (as stipulated) Transport to and from your chosen destination (if stipulated on your quote) Excludes: Any extra expenses not specified Meals (not stipulated) Transport for any additional outings/sightseeing – unless otherwise stipulated. PAYMENT TERMS: A non-refundable Administration Fee will be charged as a deposit to secure your booking. Once you have been invoiced, this deposit is to be paid into Surgical Attractions’ bank account, as indicated on the invoice, preferably via SWIFT bank transfer. The deposit will be deducted from the full amount. Payments via credit card will be charged at an additional 5% administration fee. On final acceptance of the booking, the balance is to be present in Surgical Attractions’ bank account three weeks prior to arriving in South Africa for your procedure or, if procedures require to be confirmed by the surgeon on arriva,l payment to be made directly to the surgeon on arrival. This will be discussed prior to any final arrangements being made. If for any reason you and/or your surgeon decide not to proceed with your surgery at the pre-operative consultation, any fees already paid for your surgical procedure(s) will be refunded to you less the non-refundable Administration Fee. Any extras you may incur during your accommodation stay(s) will be for your account and due for payment at your accommodations on departure. Payment can be made via valid Credit Card or Travellers Cheque. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: SURGERY RISKS: As with everything else in life there are also risks involved in surgical procedures. No matter how good the Surgeon performing the Surgery may be, complications can arise. Therefore before proceeding with any surgery of any kind please discuss all your concerns with the surgeon concerned and ask as many questions as you like so that you are in a position to make an informed decision. The decision will be yours. INITIAL QUOTE FOR YOUR PROCEDURE(s): The initial quote will be based on your choice of procedure(s). CHOOSING YOUR SURGEON: Once you have completed and returned our Surgical Attractions’ Enquiry Form to us, as well as your medical history, accompanied by your clear, close up digital photo(s), Surgical Attractions will revert with a recommended surgeon most suited to you plus his or her CV (Curriculum Vitae). Owing to the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa not permitting us to advertise the services of their members, the full identities of our surgeons will not appear on the initial CV’s sent to you. Obviously once a consultation takes place, either telephonically or face to face, the full identity of the surgeon will be made known to you and you shall be provided with both his/her practice and registration numbers. Only upon acceptance of the surgeon by you will arrangements progress further. GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SURGEON: Once you have accepted the recommended surgeon, Surgical Attractions will set up a teleconference between the two of you. Surgical Attractions would like to stress that recommendations are not binding and that acceptance of the surgeon is entirely your choice. At the time of your first teleconference your surgeon will be in possession of your digital photo(s) and medical history. Therefore your surgeon will be well equipped to discuss his views on your suitability to your chosen procedure(s) and his recommended method of performing your procedure(s) with you. You will also be urged to ask as many questions as you wish concerning you procedure(s). Should you not wish to send photos for any reason what-so-ever you are still entitled to book your procedure(s) should you wish and to have a face to face consultation with the surgeon concerned on arrival. The choice is yours. If, at this pre operative consultation, the surgeon concerned is of the opinion that you are not suited to the procedure(s) in which you are interested, or if you yourself decide against going ahead with the surgery, it will be cancelled. Any fees already paid towards your procedure(s) will be refunded to you less the non-refundable Administrative Fee. SECONDARY QUOTE (IF NECESSARY) FOR YOUR PROCEDURE(s): Once your surgeon has personally evaluated your particular case, in consultation with you, adjustments may be made to the quote. Rest assured however that adjustments shall only be made in your best interests. MAKING SURE THAT YOU MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION: Between your first teleconference and your intended arrival and scheduled surgical procedure(s) in South Africa, Surgical Attractions urges you to continue asking any questions of your surgeon, regarding your surgery, that may come to mind. These questions can be directed to your surgeon via email or telephonically as part of our service. Make sure that you and your surgeon are fully in agreement as regards the intended outcome of your surgery. Discuss alternative methods of surgery with your surgeon to satisfy yourself that what is being proposed is best for you. Discuss alternative treatments and satisfy yourself that you are fully aware of what to expect from your chosen procedure(s). Neither you nor your surgeon are under any obligation to proceed with the intended surgery until a final mutual decision is taken at your pre-operative, face to face, consultation. Surgical Attractions reminds you that there are risks and uncertainties associated with surgery in general and that cosmetic surgery is no exception. Therefore there are no guarantees that your procedure(s) will not result in personal disappointment. If any dispute may arise the surgeon may only be liable if litigation takes place in South Africa, under South African Law. Surgical Attractions cc, its management or staff are not liable in any way whatsoever. Any medical or surgical advice provided by any representative of Surgical Attractions and/or by way of Surgical Attractions’ web site and service, even if intended to be accurate to the best of our knowledge, should be validated by your Surgeon. Always seek advice from your Surgeon before taking any treatment, medication or undergoing any therapy. COST IMPLICATIONS PRIOR TO SURGERY In the unlikely event that during your pre-operative consultation your surgeon is of the opinion that additional precautions or adjustments need to be made regarding your procedure, a final cost adjustment over and above what you have already paid may arise. If this is the case the additional amount will be paid directly to the surgeon following your pre-operative consultation. Once again Surgical Attractions must stress that any additional recommendations that may result in additional costs at any time before, during and after your procedure(s) will be entirely in your best interests. The cost estimate is subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Certain terms and Conditions apply The cost of your surgical procedure(s) (Elective Surgery) will include: The surgeon’s fees, specialist anaesthetist fees, your anaesthetic, private clinic/hospital stay for the required procedure(s) (including 24 hour nursing), all theatre charges, meals, medication, post-operative consultations and non-refundable administration fee, for your selected procedure(s). Unless otherwise stipulated. Your medical evaluations, Email Correspondence and Telephonic Consultations. Pre and Post Operative Instructions for your selected procedure(s), Itinerary for Pre and Post Operative consultations. The cost of your surgical procedure(s) will exclude: Any additional medical expenses incurred in the interests of your health and due to unforeseen complications. Clarification of the aforementioned should be obtained from your surgeon. Any additional procedures not quoted for. Insurance.
